Meet Michelle
My dad used to ask, "Michelle, are you flying around by the seat of your pants with your ass on fire?" I'd always laugh, but in reality, that's exactly what I was doing.
Thirty five years and counting, as a flight attendant with a major carrier, every day was different. Different schedules, different hotels, different beds, no sleep, eating out, airplane food, all exhausting and depleting, over and over until finally, my mind, body, and soul had experienced enough. I suffered from digestion and gut issues, anxiety, stress, chronic fatigue and a lack of sleep that made focusing nearly impossible. The only thing I could count on was "there is no routine", and every day became increasingly exhausting.
I didn't necessarily live an unhappy life though. I'd traveled the world, lived in amazing places and had unbelievable adventures. Yet, I felt very unsatisfied in core areas of my life including health and relationships. I began to think about a way forward that would be more fulfilling and sustainable. The answer came in the form of Ayurveda.
Introduced to me by another flight attendant while sitting on the jump seat, I gradually began seeking small changes and applying a more Ayurvedic routine to my chaotic life. I knew right away that healing myself had a connection to one day healing others. As my life shifted, both in large and small ways, I needed to share these transformations, these Ayurvedic principles, with others.
As I began to heal, I realized it didn't mean damage didn't exist but rather the damage no longer controlled my life.
I joined Kerala Ayurvedic Academy, graduated as an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor and am continuing my education as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, graduating this year.
I believe that finding your healer from within allows for purpose and balance to follow. I hope that through wisdom and a healing compass, Ayurveda will help you to heal yourself and help you to manifest your full potential in mind, body, and soul. I know it has for me.
How can an Ayurvedic consultation assist you?
Ayurveda assists individuals to take control of their own health and increase self-reliance and re-establish their connection to the environment. Ayurveda is not limited to medicine or therapy; instead it applies a holistic approach to life and living in harmony with nature. If you suffer from any of these concerns, Ayurveda can lead you to a clear path forward for improvement.
